Observations:

Today we arrived at our next research site - Providence Island. There are no proper charts for the island, and before we approached an anchor position we ran a tender ahead with an echo sounder to examine the depth of the water.

The island is 4 km long, with only one settlement on it. 15 people live there to manage the coconut plantation. In the afternoon we made one dive to put the targets on the bottom, but the work was very difficult due to very strong currents. Early evening we spent relaxing on the beach, and snorkelling.
